THE ALI O' DROS SHOW |
|
Jeff O'Neil Eric Lindros Jason Allison |
With the additions of jeff o'neil, a rough tough forward
the goes to the net and isn't afraid to get messy which had a career year with the huricanes in 00/01 with 41 goals and 26
assists for 67 points and will be a good fit with mats sundin for offensive support and also a perfect guy to set up
and win those big games with big goals, just ask Cujo in the 2002 playoffs, overtime winner in game 6 to put carolina in the
finals and to elimanate the buds.
Eric Lindros, obvousily their biggest pick up this summer, is gonna give toronto that
extra edge, and will clear the path for players like allison,o'neil, or maybe even sundin, but all i know is with lindros
wanting to be there as well, and having him be comfortable there is definatlly a plus, and who knows maybe he'll get back
to that form that he had back in 95/96 season where with the flyers he produced 115 points, and 163 PIMS which were both career
highs for "THE BIG E", and bring that playoff excellence that he hasn't had since, well you know, since the devils incident,
but toronto feels good to have him and well i think alot of leaf fans do too.
Jason allison a premere player, and also very underated,
allison in 97/98 and in the 98/99 seasons led the bruins in scoring and had a career high in 00/01 in points with 85 and was
second that year with 59 assists, so my prediction is he will play on the second line with lindros to give toronto to solid
lines with skill, power, and winning abilitys to give the maple leafs a excellent chance to take home the cup this year and
end that 38 year cup drought, GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!
EDDY BELFOUR
Ed belfours getting old, theres no doubt about it, but he can he still hold up
and take the leafs into the playoffs, where the buds usely wouldnt have a problem, might now since the smaller teams look
more like the dominant teams, but time can only tell what will happen, GO LEAFS GO!!!!
